Give Bowls a Try at Holsworthy Bowling Club. Bowls is a social game and Holsworthy is a friendly club. Situated in Stanhope Park our greens are admired by many who walk past. It does not take long to learn the fundamentals of the game and like anything else improvement comes with practice. Section 1 Finals held at United Services Barnstaple Sunday 30 July. Holsworthy Ladies shine on a wet and windy Sunday. Holsworthy Ladies had three teams featuring in two finals. Ladies Two Wood Triples; Holsworthy 19 United Services 18. Pat Trout, Sylvia Langford and Mary Beckford played for Holsworthy and after 17 ends were losing 15-18, however victory was secured with a four shot advantage in the 18th end. Ladies Unbaged Pairs.
